The Reaction and my fear
There are a lot of fans worried about Nick Carter’s Twitter absence. I understand it is frustrating when people you follow leave your preferred platform. However, I fear that some fans will get impatient and attack for it just they did to Brian. It would probably be worse than what happened to Brian since Nick is the most popular. They are also the most passionate, defending him for even the littlest perceived slight from other fans.

Have you seen this man on Twitter? He is truly missed by his fans here. His name is @nickcarter. We are missing his tweets.
In terms of sharing his life on social media, he has been the most open. Yet , ungrateful people complain he shares too much of his family life. If you think he is oversharing, that is one thing. However, it also implies he should not have a life outside of his career like we all want. His family photos and videos on social media are not that much different than an ordinary person’s photos or videos. Nick chooses to share family moments. Even though AJ is the second most active and consistently posts on most platforms, he rarely shares family moments like Nick does
A matter of strategy and preference.
Keep in mind, Celebrity social media, like all social media marketing, is business. Individually especially, they may have different strategies. For example. Brian reuses content across platforms. His Twitter and Facebook now consist mainly of his original Instagram content. AJ consistently uses all of the major ones. However, Tiktok is where he can display his sense of humor most. Nick’s Tiktok relaunch gave AJ a run for his money, at least in the number of followers. I correctly predicted that he and AJ would team up on videos. Howie is the least invested in social media because he hardly uses it if at all. I doubt they run these pages personally correctly predicted that he and Nick would team up on videos. It is probably all planned by the social media manager. These managers might advise them on which platforms to focus on. They will spend the most time where the audience is.
We OGs had it a lot harder
Social media has given fans unprecedented access. However, it wasn’t always like that.I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s when the internet was in its infancy. Dial-up was more common. I didn’t even have the internet at home until DSL was cheaper I got it in 2004, just over 10 years after I got my first computer in November 1993. There were simpler fansites back then to accommodate slow dial-up, but nothing like today. We mainly relied on traditional media and the occasional store promo appearances to see or hear anything about them. We had to wait for the TV appearance and go out and buy the magazine.
Bottom Line
if Nick is less active on Twitter, don’t be alarmed or angry. He may be more on Tiktok now as it has grown in popularity. The proliferation of BBBs fan Tiktok account is proof that their audience is present on the platform. Keep in mind you can still browse and watch videos on the desktop site without an account. However, if you are dipping into video and have space on your phone, I recommend it. Social media is an optional promotional tool that they could stop using if fans abuse it.
