It is hard being green

While some people long to be evidently friendly, the idea of radically changing their lifestyles is overwhelming. For example Carbon footprints and offset confuse you or you just balk at the idea I am not sold on eletric vehicles because their range is pitiful for all the long distance driving I do .Also, maybe you want to make some significant changes in the future, but want to start small. . So I present some of my favorite and simple way to be more environmentally friendly.

Recycle or sell your old phone or other electronic

When I get rid of my old smartphones, I take them to a machine like ecoATM. B You connect the phone to the device to evaluate its conditions. Based on that, it will do one of the things. It will price your phone for sale if it is current and in a good enough state. If not, it will take it for rec

Request digital store recipts

Receipts ventually end up in the trash whether you use them to track your purchase or not. And if are like all that extra paper could be overwhelming digital receipts are a solutions to both of these problems For exampe Electronic pos systems like Square offer them and will send them automatically once you enter your email at any Square merchant. Stores such as Walgreens also give the when you sign up manually.

Request reusable drinkware

As I mentioned before, Peixoto Coffee and other independent shops give customers the options to have the reusable drinkware they provide. So it is a little easier than bringing your own although you won’t get the small discount .

Use refillable pens plus a review of my favorite pen

Pilot pens are my favorite because they are refillable, thus reducing plastic pen waste.

While I love their regular G2 gel pens, I love the Frixion pens in particular. They are high-quality, erasable ones that write like a traditional pen and have that same gel quality as the G2 pens. There are times you want to write ink, but hate having to cross out or start over when you make a mistake. Regular erasable ink doesn’t always erase cleanly leaving unsightly shadowing where you don’t want Frixion pens solve both these dileemas

As the name implies, it is friction-based, so the ink erases cleanly. The eraser, especially the one on the non-retractable pens doesn’t wear down as quickly . However, this does lead to one of its downsides. The ink will lose color if it gets too hot. I was puzzled and disappointed when the refills I spent so much money on lost their color permanently. Finally, I realized it must have been due to scorching heat while in transit, especially in the desert. TIt also reminded me not to leave it a sweltering car, or the same can happen.

If you can deal with these disadvantages, I recommend them highly if you are looking for an erasable pen that writes and erases well.

Pilot introduced B2P pens that made plastic bottles getting plastic out of landfills. This is even better than getting rid of straws. This shows their commitment to being enviromentally friendly

*drumroll* The World’s FIRST pens made from upcycled plastic bottles, with our famous G2 ink held inside… 😱 #PowerToThePen Shop: https://bit.ly/3kA9xPi

  1. I’ve never heard of electronic recipts being available anywhere, we only have paper or nothing in the UK. Which countries offer a digital alternative? How do you get the receipts? Do they email it to you or do you have to have an app?

    1. Square is a pos software. When you supply your email address it will send electrónic receipt from merchants who use it automatically . For others you have to opt in through merchant directly.
For the drugs store chain walgreen

    2. Basically on a POS software like Square you can get those receipt automatically by providing your email address upon payment. It is valid at all merchants who use that POS system so you only need give it once . For stores you have to sign up through the store. For example to get them at Walgreen I opted in at the store No app required.
