I have to confess to hating Nick Carter at one time. I know it is ridiculous. But then, I realized my objections had more to do with fan reactions to him and not to Nick himself.

For example, I resented the fact that the fans treated him like he was the only one in the group. If the others did not take it in stride, this could have been ego-crushing. The funniest example is when a fan jumped the stage during the Millennium to ask Brian where Nick was. I thought there was no point if Brian was the only one on stage she would have been able to do it again when Nick was there.
