As a symbol for writing
Sometimes I like writing my drafts by hand than typing them, especially when I don’t want to sit at the computer to type. I also lost one post, which reminded me of the importance of having a handwritten backup. Photo by Tirachard Kumtanom from Pexels

Why I am writing LiveJournal entries lists

Blogging experts say that lists are the most engaging and timeless content you can create. I also wanted to share my previous entries on actual posts because I have emphasized posts more than my pages. I want to avoid possible SEO duplication penalties by having nearly identical posts in two places. Google is a beast. I have given up trying to rank there without understanding how it works. I realized getting on Google is essential since it dominates the search market. I just need to take the time to figure it out so I can develop a consistent strategy.

Why Write?

An encouragement to write based on the photo I used in the entry Blogging is alive and kicking despite what podcasting people tell you. Yes, podcasting is not as crowded, but that is because it is relatively new. But even podcasts can use written content to complement the show. In addition, you are not entirely comfortable with audio or spontaneous public speaking, writing is a great place to start. Then, as you feel comfortable, you can expand to audio and video as compliments.

You have the write stuff: magaretnahmias — LiveJournal

In this post, I talk about LiveJournal and why I decided to use the site to write again. I came upon it in a random search in 2014. The more I have used it, the more I grew to love it. It is a blog-based social site. It has features the free WordPress lacks, such as promotional tools and groups.

Riding the Writing Wave

Describing the feast and famine nature of writing with one of my TikTok videos The title is based on the fact that I can be very talkative than quiet all of a sudden . My writing comes in similar waves.

I realize that if I try to publish every day, it will be a recipe for burnout. As I write this, I am trying to figure a reliable schedule. According to WordPress analytics, it seems to be late afternoon my time. I love scheduling on LiveJournal and WordPress, so I write in advance then publish it on the appropriate day. Breaks are ok especially when your topic is not generating any information. For example, The Backstreet Boys’ blogs faced this dilemma when the group was on the lockdown imposed break. But even then, I found things to write about because I don’t always write the typical fan stuff. For example, I wrote about biases the group faces,

I always thought the established one did the fan stuff better than I could anyway.
