Britney spears is free, but what now?

Stronger than yesterday

Britney Spears is legally free from her father, but it will be a while before she is emotionally free. She admitted that she had to heal. In light of that stay off stage is probably the best thing she could do right now. It will give her time to reflect on the path forward. And in this Instagram post, she seems to do something just that. I don’t know what she means by doing things differently. She could be talking about her career or personal life, or both.

Jaime Spears’ expressed his disappointment with the ruling, saying he helped her career through this. No, Jaime, you don’t revive a career by putting someone under abusive guardianship. It actually hurt her career because she stopped performing as a protest. As mentioned before, she probably won’t be performing a while until she feels emotionally ready. I am sure you picked the weakest judges to get what you wanted time after time. For the Backstreet Boys and Britney fan lamenting lack of promotions for the collaboration Matches, blame this oppressive conservatorship.

  A case of a stage parent being freakishly controlling

I was not a Britney fan, but I followed the ordeal after see how the paparazzi and media mistreated her. Ambush tactics of any kind are stressful. Therefore, Britney’s breakdown did not surprise me. However, as it dragged on, I wondered why it was even necessary. Britney looked in her right mind with the demons of her initial breakdown behind her. In the latest phase, The court allowed her to speak on her behalf. She would have never have been able to do that if the court had considered her mentally incompetent. While it was nice that her mother Lynn came to her defense then, where was she in the beginning if she was aware of the whole thing.   

This conservatorship arrangement seemed illegal for two reasons. First, You cannot unilaterally put someone on a mental health hold without evidence of severe mental distress. In the US, the requirement varies by state. The term 5150 comes from section number of the California public health law that governs mental health holds. Even then, there is no guarantee it will happen even with evidence. At most, Jaime could have placed her under a temporary durable power of attorney. POAs are more like advance directives so the person in question can decide on the terms. In addition, the person in charge, called the attorney in fact, also has limitations. Hence, abuse is much less likely than with conservatorship.

Second, Jaime unilaterally declared she had dementia with no medical evaluation to back up those claims. Therefore, I don’t know how the court believed those claims. However, Jaime’s behind-the-scenes manipulation to get his desired ruling until Judge Penny heard the case and saw through the lies.

Most fans thought she had needed to write and published those cryptic Instagram posts. However, did not because of the extent of control her father had. Then a rumor came out in Sept 2021 that confirmed that suspicion. NY Post’s page six gossip section alleged that her father controls her phone calls, internet browsing history, and text. In light of this, I believe her father might have manipulated the captions on those out-of-character photos. If he controlled everything, I think he could have managed her social media. She inexplicably shut down her Instagram for one day supposedly to celebrate her engagement. However, as she deleted, Instagram posts I think it was to clean up her profile.

….Because of Paparazzi stress

. The fact that the paparazzi that put her into that state did not regret it was horrible. It showed they were just after the money like her father and brother Brian were. I only partially agreed with the comparison of Backstreet Boys’ member AJMclean’s of Britney to Princess Diana. She faced the same unbearable relationship with the paparazzi, and that was it. Diana, as far as I remember, was not under legal control. Luckily the paparazzi did not send Britney to her death. Though if it went on, it could have literally killed her because of her fragile mental state at the time. Luckily, celebrities now have more control over their messaging with social media outlets.

Questionable social media post could cost her credibility with some

Speaking of social media, I hope she heeds the warning of AJ’s groupmate Brian Littrell about being careful on social media. Disgruntled Backstreet Boys fans thought it was none of his business. However, I knew it was out of brotherly concern, especially in light of his own social media missteps and those of his wife. My only objection was he should’ve made the connection a little more exact.

 I have social media raged, and it really doesn’t help your image.  Someone confronted me about it twice. Others blocked me many times because of it. As Littrell mentioned, she will be under a microscope once things are back to normal for her.  I believe it is in her best interest to keep the anger off social media. As I said in a Twitter post, this might cause people to question her sanity. It may not have the same legal effect now that she is free of her father. However, it won’t look sympathetic to some, especially me. Fans could not even see the danger in it because of their emotional attachment to Britney and the cause. 

Time For Britney to separate

IF necessary, Britney may have to separate from all the toxic influences just as Nick Carter did with his family. As with Nick, her family saw her as a cash cow. When her brother Brian called the conservatorship a cash cow, it said everything we needed to know about the reason for prolonging it.

If it was about Britney’s mental health, as Jaime Spears claimed, he would have ended a long time ago or have considered a less restrictive alternative. Now that Britney is free from her father, I wonder what will come out about the full extent of what her father did to her. The IUD rumor seemed extreme but demonstrates the degree of control conservators can have.

Beyond Britney Herself

In conclusion, this was beyond the usual celebrity fluff. I hope this sparks a deeper investigation into them, as some politicians called for. The American Civil Liberties Union cited Britney Spears as inspiration for doing a podcast episode on conservatorships in general. Because, unlike Britney, the average conservatee lacks the notoriety to get their case heard. If it was not for Free, Britney’ Spears’ case would have not received attention. I also hope those involved in Free Britney will use their newfound passion for activism for other causes or continue as advocates for ordinary conservatees stuck in abusive situations like Britney’s.

Kentwood locals react to the characterization of Jaime Spears ( ññI pretty much think they are naive, though. They probably remember a Pre-fame Jaime Spears. And yes, people can hide who they indeed are. I doubt these people were even close to him. Although considering what he did to his own daughter, it would not surprise me if these were true. Abusers rarely come out of the blue.

Update” 10/16/21 Britney’s tentative first step into freedom

This Instagram post broke my heart because he knew nothing of ordinary life, But at least she seems aware of the trauma these 13 difficult years inflicted upon her and the need to process the whole thing. I am sure whether she referring to her career or personal life when she said she needed to do things differently. This definitely proves my first point about her need for some time away.
