It is National Coffee Day here in the US, which is a promotional day for the beverage. So, I wanted to perk you up Brian’s parody of the Straight Through My Heart chorus. Song parodies, for me, are more challenging to write than they look. Therefore, I can’t blame him for not coming up with more, especially on the spot. However, I’d like a full version of this because it soldiers down for some of us without\ it.
Some people fancy themselves the coffee version of sommeliers. As long as it brewed to my preferred strength, I don’t care if it is a store brand or not.
Most people are passionately opposed to decaf, and you cannot even convince them otherwise. I tried defending it in a Facebook Coffee group I belong to. As a result, the post received primarily negative comments. My point was that it is not all bad, especially if you enjoy coffee primarily for taste. I dislike stereotypes even about my favorite beverage. To me, the taste of decaf is a mixed bag depending on the decaffeination process. , Some of us need it if we want to drink it for health reasons mostly. Speaking of health, some people worry about chemical decaffeination, but some decaffeination processes are natural.
